Coming Soon: Galactica Dradis is LOST Podcast #6 for "The Incident Parts 1 & 2"

Photobucket

Wowsers!!!  What an episode we just got!  The end came and our mouths were wide open and we were completely silent for a few seconds.  We got so much information in this two part episode I don't even know where to begin.  Well, we will be recording the podcast a few days later than usual.  We want to analyze the heck out of it before anything.  We hope to have our own theories and answers to our own questions by the time we record.
Feel free to comment on anything you want under this entry.  We'll definitely have time to read them before we record.  Expect the podcast no later than the middle of next week!  Let's chat!  What did everyone think?

Definitely not my favorite finale, but I'll take what I can get for the next 9 months. I heard Damon say there would be no Sopranos "cut to black" and I immediately half-jokingly thought they'll fade to white..I hated even the possibility of that being right, and it seems like such a Darlton smartass thing to do.

But I did love all the throwbacks to seasons 1 and 2: the good evil black/white motifs, the Black Rock, Charlie's DS ring...but mostly Jacob's reveal. It sucks this is his last episode? maybe if he's dead he can possess others to the way his counterpart can. I still dont know what to think of body snatchers-Locke...was he really meant to be a pawn all along? Are the rest of the survivors as well? It seems very The Stand-ish. Bernard and Rose seem like the smartest ones on the island opting not to play.

The ending makes me wonder how Richard's been able to stick around for all this time without being manipulated himself..

And poor Juliet...is this what happens when you hog the pretty filter for one too many episodes?

      LOL!  Pretty filter!!  LOL!!

Your question about Richard makes me wonder too.  I guess he was already on Jacobs side seeing as how Jacob made him like he is now.  I'm starting to believe Locke was to be a pawn all along.

I had another thought...Illana mentioned Lepidus being a candidate for something, and now that they've arrived at the statue could that mean he could be a vessel for Jacob? And what's her connection to Jacob in the first place, she being the first they show him seeking out to help in this war...

That scene with Ben confronting Jacob was odd too, it seemed like he was expecting to die at his hands...also, I guess Richard wasn't left out in being used as well since he's the only one who knows the secret knocking sequence to gain passage to Jacob.

I have to watch the beginning of the episode again and that scene with Jacob and the other guy. It almost seems like a hint at BSG with the this has all happened before...

Great finale - Locke is really dead, NO WAY.

I cheered when I saw Bernard, Rose and Vincent.

Anyone think the altered Lost logo at the end meant anything ?

To end, I have no idea where Lost is going next season.7 months to wait - I'm counting down already.

I forgot, that line of Juliets at the end "Come on you son of a bitch" - it reminded me of Chief Brodies line at the end of Jaws when he blows the shark up.

Haha! So true. I hated to see that happen to Juliet, but what a heartwrenching sequence with her and Sawyer!

Loved the episode. So many reveals, so many more questions to ask but beginning to see the final direction of the show.

and to think we thought this was a battle between Ben and Widmore, how insignificant they seem now!

Can't wait to hear your guys thoughts and most definitely can't wait for next season!

This episode had everything that is great about lost. Great twists, great action, some great reveals and as usual even more questions.

For me this season has been so slow, dripfeeding us information and putting some of the best characters in the background a bit.

Jack was finally given a purpose and we finally see the Jack we all know.

As for Jacob and his nemesis, from what I saw last night I think the black smoke is Jacobs enemy as it obviously has the ability to copy people as it did with Bens daughter Alex and it seems it also copied other characters like Christian Shepard, Mr Eko's brother and now Locke. All in an effort to find a way to kill Jacob.

Jacob it seems has been luring people to the Island to help him in his battle maybe? I'm convinced now that Richard is from the Black Rock.
It looks now like he chose Jack, Kate etc to come to the island.

Aw man, I'm gonna stop this is wrecking my head.

      ****THEORY ALERT***

I hadn't thought about him being the smoke monster, but when you mention all the dead folks that have appeared, it makes a lot of sense. Especially, when you think about the things they did to help lead to this end. Add in Jacob's visits, and it's like they've been playing a huge chess match.

Gah! Can't wait for next season.
